Job Summary
The Cement Finisher Foreman supervises and coordinates a team with project requirements and supports project details and safety matters. Responsibilities include overseeing the assembly and removal of forms for concrete installation, managing material management, utilizing power and hand tools, reading blueprints, and promoting a safe work environment. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of cement experience, strong leadership skills, and effective communication abilities. Additional physical work demands include lifting heavy materials, working from heights, and operating various tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cement
- Valid Driver’s License
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Intermediate cement knowledge
- Experience using and maintaining power tools and small hand tools
- Ability to take initiative
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Strong mathematical and quantitative skills
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Certification
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading and shop drawing reading
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be able to safely wear a respirator and is able to pass applicable medical and fit testing examinations.
- Must be able to hear commands from supervisors and back-up safety alarms on equipment.
