Cement Finisher (Concrete Journeyman only)

Job Summary
Constructs, erects, installs, fabricates, dismantles and repairs structures, formwork and fixtures of wood, metal forms and associated accessories. Reads blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities and sizes of materials; identifies tools and safety precautions; measures, marks, and cuts materials; constructs and reinforces concrete forms; builds wooden forms; sets up and aligns concrete forms according to blueprints; mixes, pours, and spreads concrete; smooths and grades surfaces with hand and power trowels; capable of standing/walking/bending/squatting/sitting and lifting; communicates verbally; may lift up to 50 lbs; works at heights and may use scaffolding with fall protection; PPE required including hard hat, eye/face protection, hearing protection, respirators, hi-vis vests, gloves, and steel-toed boots; on-site, on-ground role with exposure to varied weather.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Carpenter in refinery, chemical, petrochemical, plant construction, maintenance or new construction
- Knowledge of carpentry tools
- Experience in building forms
- Must be able to pass Craft proficiency testing at or above 70% or have an NCCER
- Complete Matrix Service Safety training and Client / Site specific training
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the approved drug testing program
- Must pass background check
