Cement Equipment Specialist

Job Summary

Operate and maintain cement job equipment including bulk equipment, pump trucks, field bins, and semi-trailers. Perform vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure proper fluid levels, functioning brakes, working lights, and safe tire condition. Maintain proper daily documentation of equipment and report any defective equipment to proper personnel. Perform rig up and rig down operations and assist with housekeeping on location before, during, and after the job. Conduct proper Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and organization policy. Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations by keeping accurate driver's logs and obeying hours of service policies. This role requires a Class A CDL and ability to work 12+ hour shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Class A CDL
  • valid CDL
  • clean driving record
  • Hazmat endorsements
  • Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations
  • Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and physical examination
  • Able to pass a road test
  • Able to operate both manual and automatic transmissions
  • Able to perform pre- and post-trip CMV inspection
  • Must be familiar with electronic logging devices
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well with others
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills
  • ability to interact with employees in the field and at all levels of the organization
  • Able to promptly follow verbal and written directions in English
  • Must be able to work closely with others
  • Must be able to work under time-sensitive deadlines
  • Must be able to respond to emergency situations
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs
  • Able to safely operate and maintain assigned equipment
  • Able to work during a 12+ hour work shift
  • Able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to perform duties safely in all weather conditions
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. over your head
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely
  • Must be able to sit and stand on your feet for extended time
  • Must attend required HSE training sessions
  • Must attend safety meetings
  • Must utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Desired Qualifications

  • Hazmat endorsements preferred
