Job Summary
Move juice and wine between tanks using pumps, hoses, and fittings. Weigh additives and make additions to the juice or wine. Sanitize tanks, hoses, pumps, and fittings. Operate pumps, presses, and filters. Maintain an organized and clean working environment. Other duties as assigned by the Winemaker and Cellar Master. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday during harvest from late August to mid-November, with extended hours including weekends. Previous winery experience is preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work quickly, accurately, and safely
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to take initiative and work in teams, and independently
- Willingness to maintain a clean environment at all times
- Must be willing to kneel, climb stairs/catwalks, and/or lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods under variable temperatures
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented
- Self-starter with initiative willingness to learn and follow new procedures
- Previous experience in a winery preferred but not required
- Basic math required
- High school graduate or GED required
- The ideal applicant will be able to work as a key member of our team and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- This is a paid full-time position 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday during Harvest from late August to late October
- Extended hours during harvest including Saturday and Sunday
