Job Summary

Conduct crush operations, barrel work, and wine movement while performing equipment sanitation and cellar organization. Operate filtration and grape processing equipment including hoists, crushers, conveyors, and presses. Complete winery work orders, record information accurately, collect wine samples for laboratory analysis, and assist with bottling line operations and special projects. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient winery environment. Work shifts, overtime, and weekends during harvest season from August to November, or four days of ten-hour shifts outside harvest. This entry to mid-level role supports the cellar maintenance team and requires basic math calculations and the capacity to learn winery tasks safely. Forklift operation or vehicle driving ability is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • basic math calculations
  • Able to work a flexible schedule as needed, including extra hours during harvest
  • Capacity to learn how to perform winery tasks safely
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds over moderate distances
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, crawl and walk
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to pull or push objects over moderate distances
  • During Harvest (typically August to November) must be able to work 5 days, 8 hour shifts, overtime and weekends
  • Must be able to work 4 days, 10 hour shift when not in Harvest

Desired Qualifications

  • Able to drive a forklift or become forklift operator certified preferred
  • Capacity to drive a company vehicle preferred
