Job Summary
As a Cell Tower Technician in Mount Vernon, Ohio, you will join a climbing crew to perform tower operations, maintenance, and installation, adhering to OSHA safety guidelines while working at heights up to 500 feet. The role requires travel, overtime, and skills such as knot tying, rigging knowledge, and proficiency in installation and testing procedures for telecommunications equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to tie basic knots
- Demonstrated understanding of safe/proper rigging procedures
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and Radio Frequency Data Sheets
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure
- Ability to use a compass and understand declination
- Knowledge of rigging and mounting procedures for all antennas and equipment
- Knowledge of different carriers, color codes, and routing guidelines
- Ability to troubleshoot tower top issues
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to pass required pre-employment processes, including background check and drug screen
- ComTrain certification
- OSHA 10 certification
- RF Awareness certification
- First Aid/CPR training/certification
- Competent Climber certification
