Job Summary
Cell Therapy Data and AI Productivity leader within AstraZeneca's Cell Therapy Enterprise, driving end-to-end AI and Data Strategy across discovery through commercialization. Lead development of AI solutions for cell therapy including real-world data analytics, live data processing, automation pipelines, and data dashboards; oversee data governance and retrospectives to propagate data-centric workflows; shape activities accelerating early-phase decisions and biomarker-driven patient selection; partner with data engineering, bioinformatics, and clinical statistics to support protocol amendments, cohort expansions, and asset strategy; identify and evaluate AI agents, platforms, and collaborations, and manage cross-functional governance and investment cases to maximize cycle time reduction and patient benefit.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or MSc) with 5+ years in life sciences or technology industries
- Deep knowledge of disease biology, translational biomarkers, and regulatory expectations for AI-generated evidence
- Demonstrated experience implementing AI/ML concepts, data-engineering pipelines, and agile sprint management in a matrixed environment
- Proven ability to translate emerging technologies into compliant capabilities that improve enrolment, decision speed, and patient benefit
- Influential communicator able to distill complex analytics for non-experts and secure funding for innovation
- Curiosity, pragmatism, and a relentless focus on delivering transformative medicines
