Job Summary

Drive end-to-end execution of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People goals for the Steam Repairs Cell, managing "wing-to-wing" operations including rotor and valve repair to meet customer commitments. Lead by example in all operational activities, ensuring adherence to environmental and safety standards while overseeing budget delivery for labor costs and consumable spending. Act as a Lean change agent to reduce waste and optimize inventory, serving as the primary liaison between internal support functions and external vendors to ensure seamless product delivery. Select, hire, train, and develop a diverse, high-performing team of salaried and hourly employees while fostering a culture of respect and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or Business discipline from an accredited university
  • High School diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant and progressive heavy industrial manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing operations, production management, or engineering roles
  • Demonstrated experience in a people-leading role (direct or indirect reports)
  • Must be able to manage complex projects, issue regular status reports, and have the ability to communicate at customer, sales and projects levels
  • Knowledge of Steam Rotor assembly
  • Knowledge of Steam rotor repair operations
  • Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent quality certification)
  • Strong knowledge of standard operating cost systems and production/inventory control
  • Excellent interpersonal, influence, and oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, high-priority tasks under tight deadlines
  • Strong continuous improvement, problem-solving, and organizational mindset with a high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrates and develops behaviors consistent with Innovation, Lean, Customers, One Team, and being Accountable
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
