Job Summary
CEI Senior Inspector to coordinate and manage the lower level inspectors and verification testing on complex projects. Responsible for daily inspection efforts to ensure contractor operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documents; monitor on-site construction activities; prepare daily/weekly reports; review pay estimates; perform field inspection and testing of materials; prepare inspection reports and daily site documentation; maintain detailed records; contribute to job safety practices; and be available for daytime, nighttime, and weekend shifts. Requires high school diploma and associate's degree in a technical field (or equivalent), 10+ years of construction inspection experience, and relevant FDOT/ATSSA/Nuclear safety qualifications; EIT license may be required; ABET credentials may substitute for experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and Associate's Degree in a technical discipline/construction related field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of related experience in construction inspection
- FDOT Field Concrete Technician
- FDOT WECS Erosion Control
- ATSSA Advanced Traffic Control
- Nuclear Radiation Safety Certificate
- Passing scores on FDOT’s Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests Group 1
- Passing scores on FDOT’s Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests Group 2
- Passing scores on FDOT’s Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests Group 3
- EIT License, if applicable
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited university may be substituted for experience
