Job Summary
CEI Senior Inspector responsible for ensuring contractor work on a project complies with design specifications and FDOT/Client quality standards; perform highly complex field surveying, construction layout, and inspections; manage lower-level inspectors; generate field reports and participate in weekly meetings; require strong reading of drawings, surveying using GPS equipment, and coordination to meet project requirements in outdoor, potentially adverse conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 4+ years FDOT experience specific to CEI project activities (soil, concrete, steel, and bridges)
- CTQP Certification in Asphalt, Concrete, Earthwork, pile driving and drilled shafts
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies and/or conflicts, solve problems and develop documentation
- Ability to utilize survey equipment to verify field measurements and survey grades during construction, including but not limited to the use of GPS Rovers and Base system
- Ability to accomplish goals with minimal supervision and provide guidance and direction to staff inspectors
- Ability to work as part of a team
