Job Summary
Conduct construction inspections on roadway, bridges, and utility projects in accordance with TDOT procedures; observe, measure, and record construction quantities for payment; read and interpret construction plans and specifications; document traffic control and erosion control items; perform field measurements and maintain project records for client/auditor review; be prepared for overtime and travel up to 100 miles to jobsites; join Lochner’s team with a HS diploma or equivalent and OSHA 10 plus ATSSA/Flagger certifications; this role supports flexible/hybrid or remote work where possible and requires computer skills (MS Excel/Word) and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 0-4 years construction or inspection experience on roadway construction projects or completion of a 2-year engineering technology program in Roadway Construction Management
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
- OSHA 10 Safety Training
- Work Zone Traffic Control and Flagger (or ATSSA certified courses)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Ability to perform field measurements, read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Willingness to travel up to 100 miles to jobsite
- Strong safety awareness and ability to operate in outdoor conditions
