CEI Engineer Intern

Job Summary

Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance with legal requirements, safety regulations, and codes. Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials while measuring dimensions to verify level, alignment, elevation, and pavement conformance. Gather and maintain record documents, make field notes, and perform computations for structural quality and general safety inspections. Work in the field under the supervision of a Senior Inspector, executing duties related to concrete, asphalt, earthwork, pile driving, and drilled shaft inspections. Requires an Engineering or Engineering Technology Degree, EI certification, and active driver's license.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering or Engineering Technology Degree
  • Engineering Intern classification requires EI certification
  • Ability to earn the required qualifications and certification within one year
  • Active driver's license
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
