Job Summary
Facilitate student personal, social, and intellectual development while establishing a positive learning environment. Assist teachers with non-instructional duties, including snack and clothing routines, and reinforce classroom material through small group work and independent study guidance. Operate audiovisual equipment, perform clerical tasks, and supervise student conduct in the classroom, study hall, library, cafeteria, or playground. React to frequent interruptions productively and implement district health and safety policies, including Bloodborne Pathogens precautions. Maintain confidentiality of student records and respond to information requests cooperatively.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the central office
- Knowledge of the operation of various office machines
- Must pass spelling and math tests
- No Child Left Behind certification
Desired Qualifications
- preferred sixty hours of college credit
