Job Summary
Supervise and provide one-on-one instruction to students with mild disabilities, including oversight during lunch periods. Deliver consistent communication to Directors regarding student progress while offering positive guidance and support. May teach small groups as needed. Work under pressure to diffuse highly emotional situations. Earn $16.00 per hour. Opportunities exist to move into other positions within the school and special education department.
Required Qualifications
- Must work well under pressure
- Must have the ability to diffuse highly emotional situations
- Earned an Associates Degree
- Earned 48 college credit hours
- Successfully completing a basic academic skills (parapro) exam within the first week of hire
