Job Summary
The CEC Technician – Sales-Focused in Aledo, TX performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment (powertrain, hydraulic, electrical) and actively promotes maintenance and repair services to customers. Responsibilities include diagnosing complex issues using computer analyzers, completing repairs on construction, aerial, and earthmoving machinery, and communicating diagnostics, repair needs, and recommended service plans to customers. The role combines technical work with sales, including upselling maintenance packages and parts, writing and managing purchase orders for parts, and maintaining service documentation and safety practices. Ideal candidates are mechanically skilled, self-motivated, and comfortable engaging with customers to recommend service solutions; qualifications include experience with RentalMan/SmartEquip and a valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of mechanical experience
- Extensive experience in diagnostics and repair of heavy equipment
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused, sales-oriented mindset
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or technical degree preferred
