Job Summary
Diagnose complex issues with heavy equipment powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems using computer analyzers and traditional troubleshooting methods. Complete complex repairs to construction, aerial, and earthmoving machinery while conducting detailed inspections to ensure equipment compliance. Serve as a technical resource for customers to communicate repair needs, promote maintenance packages, and schedule follow-up services. Write purchase orders for parts, manage service records, and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of industry-central software(s) (RentalMan, Smart Equip, MS Office (excel))
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality service standards
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused, sales-oriented mindset
- Valid driver's license required
- 5+ years of mechanical experience
- Extensive experience in diagnostics and repair of heavy equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move heavy components and tools up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors and in various field environments
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina to work with mechanical tools and parts for extended periods
- Ability to operate service trucks and diagnostic equipment safely
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and the ability to drive Company vehicles per insurance requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or technical degree preferred
- CDL is a plus
