Job Summary
Prepare test specimens and conduct mechanical testing on hardened steel fiber concrete, including flexural strength, energy absorption, and anchorage. Execute quality control tests on fiber properties for CE certification and monitor production performance against regular product samples. Evaluate results critically to generate technical reports in Dutch and English, then link findings back to global production sites. Collaborate with R&D, sales, and quality teams while adhering to strict safety protocols in the lab and on construction sites. Operate a forklift and work in a two-shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Good technical knowledge of Dutch and English
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong quality and safety awareness
- Practical mindset with interest in technical testing
- Ability to work independently while functioning well within a small team
- Critical and structured approach to test results
- Flexibility and willingness to work in a two-shift system
- Forklift certificate or willingness to obtain one
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of laboratory activities, sample management, and/or testing environments
- Knowledge of Bekaert processes and Construction products
- Relevant practical experience in a technical, laboratory, testing, construction, or industrial environment
- Experience with concrete, construction materials, mechanical testing, or preparing test specimens
