Job Summary
Head coach responsible for organizing and supervising a total sports program; coaches and mentors student athletes in girls basketball, guiding both technical skills and team strategy. Develops and implements training plans, conducts clinics, and supports professional growth of staff. Maintains adherence to board policies, and collaborates with athletic directors and principals. Manages duties including scheduling, transportation, eligibility paperwork, staff supervision, budgeting and equipment management. Promotes sportsmanship, character development, and student-athlete academic progress, while overseeing recruitment and public relations to support the program.
Required Qualifications
- Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program
- Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport
- The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport
- The head coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes
