Job Summary
Develop and implement targeted outreach and communications activities to enhance the Cyber and Digital Transformation Division's agenda with industry, academia, and Allied stakeholders. Prepare high-quality communications products including speeches, presentations, briefing materials, and social-media content while translating complex cyber topics into audience-appropriate messages. Build a strategic narrative linking training, exercises, and policy documents, and identify priority relationships with technology companies, research institutions, and think tanks. Support the planning and delivery of conferences, workshops, and bilateral engagements in cooperation with the Office of Strategic Communication. Advise leadership on strategic positioning, stakeholder perceptions, and reputational risks, providing regular reporting on outreach results. Report to the DASG Strategy and Policy within the coherence team, with on-site duties at NATO Headquarters in Brussels until December 2026.
Required Qualifications
- university degree in communications, marketing, public relations, political science, international relations, security studies, technology policy or another relevant discipline
- demonstrated senior experience (8+ years) in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, marketing or external relations, preferably in the cyber, digital, defence, security or emerging-technology sectors
- 3 years of experience in a senior or lead communications role, advising management and leading strategic communication initiatives
- strong knowledge of NATO's internal structures, decision-making processes, stakeholder environment and civil-military working practices, gained through relevant professional experience
- excellent written and spoken English (SLP 4/4/4/4), with the ability to communicate complex technical and policy issues clearly to senior officials, specialist audiences and the public
- valid NATO security clearance required for the assignment
- NATO SECRET security clearance
