Job Summary
Clinical Documentation Quality Improvement Specialist (CDQI) working PRN/part-time to conduct timely, accurate inpatient documentation reviews and engage physicians to ensure documentation clarity, completeness, and appropriate DRG-based reimbursement. Responsibilities include educating providers on documentation importance, following AHA guidelines and coding clinics, querying for missing or conflicting information, maintaining daily production logs, and meeting production/quality metrics. Requires 3+ years of CDI experience, 3+ years clinical experience in an academic medical center, RN license with BSN, CCDS or CDIP certification, and ability to work at least 15 hours per week. Location is remote in the United States; compensation ranges from $40-$45 per hour (annualized to $83,200-$93,600).
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of CDI experience
- 3+ years of clinical experience in an academic medical center
- Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- CCDS or CDIP certification required
- Must pass a CDI skills competency assessment
- Must be able to accommodate a min of 15 hours per week
