Job Summary
CDLB Local Delivery Truck Driver needed for Sysco/ FreshPoint South Florida. Drive on daily routes with frequent stops, loading/unloading products at each stop, and ensuring items are delivered with proper signatures. Must perform pre-trip inspections, adhere to DOT regulations, and maintain safety and customer relations standards. Requires Class B CDL (Class A preferred), at least 1 year of route delivery experience, high school diploma or GED, and ability to read/speak English. Home daily with potential for additional loading duties and cross-dock responsibilities; physical requirements include lifting up to 100 pounds, climbing in/out of truck, and navigating stairs/docks in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- One-year route delivery experience or applicable background
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred)
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and to understand signs and reports
- Ability to operate vehicle in varied traffic and weather conditions
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Demonstrated customer relations and problem resolution skills
