Job Summary
Operate a 26,001 GVW water truck on public streets and construction sites to transport and deliver materials, while loading and unloading equipment. Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections, lift hoods and tools, and assist shop personnel with repairs. Wash trucks and maintain operator logs, complying with all safety regulations and company policies. Work long, flexible hours including nights and weekends, reporting delays or unusual situations via radio or GPS. Maintain a clean appearance and regular attendance while driving safely in all seasons.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A and/or B North Carolina Drivers license
- Any applicable endorsements
- Pass and maintain NCDOT physical requirements
- Minimum 3 years CDL driving experience
- Pull tag trailer to load and unload equipment experience
- Ability to continuously work around noise, dust, heat, cold, oil, and heavy equipment
- Ability to exchange ideas quickly and clearly
- Ability to receive and evaluate detailed information and instructions
- Must have regular and predictable attendance
- Must be able to lift 80 pounds or more
