Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on residential, commercial, and construction swing routes. Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR), documenting all issues for corrective review. Immediately report unsafe situations, service calls, incidents, accidents, or property damage to Route Managers or Dispatch. Complete customer tickets for excess yardage removal and ensure containers are properly positioned with lids replaced and driveways unblocked. Communicate customer requests or route problems to Dispatch, follow all DOT, OSHA, and local regulations, and submit end-of-route documentation. Maintain a clean, safe vehicle while strictly complying with safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
- (CDL)-Class B
