Job Summary
Assist with unloading up to 30,000 pounds of product and place items in coolers, freezers, and backrooms while working with minimal supervision in varied weather conditions. Complete a 14-week CDL training program, starting with 10-12 hour day shifts for six weeks as a Delivery Assistant, followed by 8 weeks of night shift training with trainers. Commit to signing a contract for tuition reimbursement and accepting a driving position upon apprenticeship completion. Must meet DOT requirements including drug screens and physicals, maintain an excellent driving record, and be at least 21 years old. Work 40 to 60 hours per week including weekends and holidays while living within 60 miles of La Crosse.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old to be a Delivery Assistant and at least 21 years old to be a CDL Driver Trainee
- Excellent driving record in accordance with Kwik Trip's driving matrix
- At least 21 years of age or turning 21 by completion of CDL driving course
- Ability to meet DOT requirements upon the completion of training which include, but are not limited to a DOT drug screen and DOT physical
- Willing to sign contract to enter Kwik Trip's CDL Tuition Reimbursement Program
- Commitment to accept a driving position with Kwik Trip upon completion of apprenticeship
- Sit up to 6 hours at a time
- Stand up to 2 hours at a time
- Bend/reach/twist/stoop/squat frequently
- Lift up to 75 pounds to waist level occasionally
- Lift up to 70 pounds to 60 inches occasionally
- Lift up to 40 pounds to 72 inches frequently
- Carry 90 pounds occasionally
- Push/pull up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Must live within 60 miles/60 minutes of La Crosse
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a safety conscious environment, and in a variety of weather/temperature conditions
