Job Summary
CDL Truck Driver responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, connecting and disconnecting hydraulic hoses and electric cables, driving to and from a landfill on company property, unloading materials at the landfill, and returning to the Material Recovery Facility (MRF). Duties also include scaling loads, recording daily logs, operating hydraulic lifts to load/unload, writing up work orders as needed, using the radio for clear communication with teammates, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, abiding by PPE requirements and safety policies, and adhering to all Federal, State and Local regulations. Must work in a team-oriented fashion to minimize wait times for available trucks, understand multiple load-out procedures (Old Loadout, New Loadout, 88 Line), and maintain safe operation of equipment. Preferred qualifications include a High School Diploma and 1 year of driving experience or Class A license training.
