Job Summary
Safely operates a tractor-trailer or straight truck with a pup trailer (or other vehicle requiring a Class A CDL) to perform assigned duties on designated routes. Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle, follows OSHA/DOT requirements, reports any unsafe situations or incidents to the Operations Manager/Dispatch, and maintains a clean vehicle. Coordinates with Operations Managers and Dispatch to improve route efficiencies, notifies about issues or damages, and ensures containers are dumped and the customer’s location is left clean and free of debris. Adheres to route assignments, completes all documentation at end of route, and operates within field conditions across indoor garage/shop and outdoor environments. Training participation and continuous communication with the dispatcher are expected. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K with match, stock options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A upon hire
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- DOT pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical upon hire
