Job Summary
Operate heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments to transport waste, recyclable material, or large mobile open-top containers from customer locations to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities. Navigate high-traffic roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots while performing highly skilled backing maneuvers, including maneuvering containers in tight overhead environments. Conduct pre and post-trip inspections, document checks, and complete end-of-day documentation. Report unsafe situations, service interruptions, or incidents to Operations Manager or Dispatch, and communicate customer requests as directed. Follow route assignments to collect residential or commercial waste, ensuring all receptacles are completely dumped and locations are left clean.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
- 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- (CDL)-Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, with an air-brake endorsement
- (CDL)-Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B, with an air-brake endorsement
