Job Summary
CDL Truck Driver role responsible for operating heavy-duty vehicles (front-, side-, or rear-end load lift attachments) across multiple line-of-business types, transporting waste or recyclables to disposal/transfer facilities. Duties include safe vehicle operation, pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting unsafe conditions, supporting route planning for efficiency, and executing customer service obligations—dumping receptacles, maintaining cleanliness at customer sites, and adhering to Safety/Life Critical Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements. Role emphasizes precise backing maneuvers, navigation through congested areas, and potential varying truck types (Residential, Roll-off) with comprehensive benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401K with match, paid time off). Training participation and collaboration with operations management to improve routes are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with an air-brake endorsement OR CDL Class B with an air-brake endorsement
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
