Job Summary
Plan daily and weekly deliveries from the manufacturing facility to customer sites while adhering to DOT HOS rules and safety standards. Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment and cargo, cooperate with the Production Manager on load and scheduling changes, and assist maintenance by reporting issues early. Mentor new drivers, maintain awareness of safety and profitability, and communicate frequently with leadership to ensure costs align with budgets. Available to travel overnight two to three days a week and work in varying weather conditions. Starting pay is $0.65 per mile plus bonuses, with comprehensive medical, dental, and 401K benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with Air Brake Endorsement
- Available to travel overnight two to three days a week
- Standard weight lifting requirements – 50 – 75 lbs
- Proficiency in understanding and complying with DOT regulations
- Proven safe driving record and DOT compliance
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to drive for extended periods and work at the unloading site in varying weather conditions
- Displays dedication and enthusiasm to create a workplace environment that values safety, quality, and continual process improvement and profitability
