Job Summary
Drive a CDL A truck with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement to transport water for construction projects and apply it for compaction or dust control. Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels, inspect for leaks and damage, and maintain the vehicle to ensure safe operation. Notify supervisors immediately if repairs are needed. Handle objects up to 25 pounds, kneel, stoop, climb, and work in extreme weather conditions. Work long, irregular hours totaling 50 to 70 per week while maintaining regular attendance. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and demonstrate competence in DOT regulations and occupational hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid CDL A with a Hazmat/Tanker endorsement and a satisfactory driving record.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl.
- Ability to correctly rig and hoist material.
- Ability to tolerate heights without fear.
- Ability to maintain balance.
- Able to enter the cab of a vehicle or piece of equipment that is 3 feet or more off the ground.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, reach for, handle, and manipulate items and to work in extreme weather conditions (cold and wet).
- Able to work long, irregular and varied hours, 50 to 70 hours per week.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Ability to safely and effectively perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal , state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
