Job Summary
Operate company vehicles for deliveries, pickups, and installations of furniture according to floor plans and DOT safety regulations. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report malfunctions, and maintain the tool kit. Complete delivery paperwork, verify customer signatures, and document facility damage with photos before loading or unloading. Assist with shipping and receiving by stocking the warehouse, lifting heavy items, and maintaining a clean workplace. Confirm merchandise condition upon pickup and relay customer communications to management. Available for rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Driver License Class A
- Experience driving a straight 26 feet truck
- Clean background and driving records
- Able to pass pre-employment Drug Testing (12 panels)
- DOT Medical Card (FMCSA regulations or able to obtain prior to hiring)
- English Language Proficiency Under 49 CFR 391.11
- Valid Driver's license meeting insurance underwriting requirements (no points of violations in the past twelve months)
- At least six months of experience in a similar industry, warehousing and inventory knowledge from a delivery company or similar industry
- Ability to operate a 26' box truck
- Able to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to bend
- Ability to crouch
- Ability to be physically active for extended periods of time
- Available to work rotating shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends
- Ability to use basic tools such as screwdriver, cordless drills, hammers, or any other assembly tool
- Basic math knowledge
- Organization and reading skills
- Must meet the uniform provided by AFR at all times during work hours
