Job Summary
Operate heavy-duty trucks (front/side/rear-end load lift attachments) to transport waste or recyclables to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities. Maneuver containers up to 1,000+ pounds, perform highly skilled backing maneuvers, and drive in residential, commercial, and roll-off settings. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, comply with WM Safety/Life Critical Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements, and report issues to Dispatch/Operations. Complete end-of-day documentation, communicate customer requests, and maintain a clean work site. Participate in training and contribute to route efficiencies and best practices. Required Qualifications
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- CDL-Class A with air-brake endorsement Upon Hire
- CDL-Class B with air-brake endorsement Upon Hire
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
