Job Summary
Safely operates a heavy-duty truck on swing routes in residential, commercial, and construction environments. Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and notes issues on DVIR, reports unsafe situations to Route Manager or Dispatch, and completes required documentation. Works with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies, assists other drivers as directed, notifies management of incidents or problems, communicates customer requests to Dispatch, and ensures containers are positioned and left clean with proper lids and no blockages. Adheres to OSHA/DOT requirements and other company expectations, participates in trainings, and completes all route-related paperwork and tickets.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
- CDL-Class B
- High School Diploma or G.E.D (accredited)
