Job Summary
Drive commercial vehicles to transfer donation containers and processed goods between attended donation centers, Goodwill locations, and transfer stations. Operate company vehicles safely in inner city traffic while adhering to DOT rules and reporting potential hazards. Transport waste, pick up special donations, and deliver goods as requested. Maintain internal and external customer satisfaction while performing production worker duties when needed. Work flexible hours for around-the-clock trips, including extended periods away from the base.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age to meet intra/interstate CDL driving rules
- 2 year's CDL driving experience or be a graduate of a State Certified and Licensed truck driving school
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to properly operate in-cab computer system for vehicle tracking and electronic logs
- Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
- Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service
- Current Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class A
- Must meet or exceed the medical standards of the US Department of Transportation(DOT)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and alcohol test
- Proof of insurance with good record
- Must have a valid MVR (motor vehicle registration)
- Ability to use a mobile phone
- Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job
- required to lift and carry items weighing up to 30-40 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours in order to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules
- Must be available for around-the-clock trips to accommodate freight movements and be may be gone for extended periods of time
- Must be available for work at all times
