Job Summary
Operate heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments to transport waste, recyclable materials, and large mobile containers to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities. Navigate high-traffic roadways, congested driveways, alleyways, and lots while performing highly skilled backing maneuvers in residential and industrial environments. Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, document checks, and complete end-of-day documentation as directed by Route Manager or Dispatch. Report unsafe situations, service interruptions, or incidents immediately to management and communicate customer requests to Dispatch. This role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, home daily, and a pay range of $22.00-$31.00. Waste Management provides comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401K match, and paid vacation.
Required Qualifications
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with an air-brake endorsement
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B with an air-brake endorsement
