Job Summary
CDL Trimmer responsible for pruning and removing trees to support electric utility providers in Carroll County, OH. Duties include climbing using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems, pruning treetops, removing damaged limbs, identifying trees per industry guidelines, operating tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts), and collaborating with ground crew and foreperson. Requires CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement; on-hire orientation and safety training (First Aid/CPR/defensive driving) and a strong outdoors preference. Full-time role with competitive hourly wages and comprehensive benefits; travel not specified beyond local servicing region.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
- Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
- Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
