Job Summary
Conduct detainee transport and maintain security at the IAH Detention Facility in Livingston, Texas. Search for contraband, count, feed, and supervise detainees in housing and work areas. Provide custody through observation and work details, while performing specific security functions including pat and strip searches. Transfer and transport detainees by walking or riding in vehicles, and restrain assaultive detainees as needed. Requires a valid CDL with passenger endorsement, Texas driver's license, and high school diploma. Full-time shift schedule with quarterly bonuses and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL and passenger endorsement certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to squat and bend to perform 'pat' and 'strip' searches
