Job Summary
Operate tractor/trailer trucks, straight body trucks, forklifts, and floor jacks to shuttle merchandise and raw materials between properties and deliver local backhauls. Perform all DOT and company required pre-trip safety inspections, maintain logs, and keep daily records including trip reports and trailer yard inventory. Inspect tail end of drop trailer loads for proper product securing, affix seals, and correct discrepancies immediately. Maintain exterior dock areas by sweeping, removing debris, snow, and ice, and inspect trailer restraints and dock equipment. Practice safety and hygiene guidelines, report defective equipment, and assist in product transfer from warehouse racks to trucks when necessary. Learn to use a yard management system and perform lot and yard checks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment
- CDL Class A Driver's license
- DOT Medical Card
- CDL Tank Vehicle Endorsement
- Knowledgeable of Department of Transportation rules and regulations
- Ability to operate Material Handling equipment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Close vision

Desired Qualifications
