Job Summary
Operate shuttle buses safely and efficiently, transporting passengers to their destinations while providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with luggage. Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain interior cleanliness, fuel buses, and log trip counts. Ensure passenger safety by assisting disabled individuals and communicating debris, spills, or hazards to the garage office. Report accidents, policy violations, or unusual occurrences immediately to the Facility Manager. Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized. Maintain a valid CDL Class A, B, or C license with a Passenger Endorsement, a DOT Medical Card, and an acceptable DMV record. Work scheduled shifts, including potential third shifts or weekends, while adhering to strict punctuality and uniform requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Per DOT Regulations, you will be required to have and maintain a valid CDL Class A, B or C Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement
- A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card)
- Availability to work 3rd shift and/or week-ends
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Employees will be required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times
- The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to handle cash and equipment
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
- The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
