Job Summary
Safely operate a propane delivery truck in compliance with DOT regulations to deliver propane to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Install, maintain, and repair propane systems by handling, loading, and unloading tanks, conducting routine maintenance, safety inspections, and diagnostics. Perform leak tests, pressure checks, and troubleshooting on tanks, regulators, meters, and appliances while following all safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and repairs, and interact with customers to explain system operations and address inquiries. Provide emergency services and on-call support as needed. Work standard Monday to Friday hours with occasional weekends and extended shifts during the October to March peak season.
Required Qualifications
- Class B CDL
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to safely operate a propane delivery truck
- Ability to handle, load, and unload propane tanks and cylinders
- Ability to install propane tanks, gas lines, and related equipment
- Ability to conduct routine maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs on propane systems and equipment
- Ability to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of propane systems
- Ability to conduct leak tests, pressure checks, and safety inspections
- Ability to maintain accurate records of deliveries, installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Ability to follow all safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to interact with customers
- Ability to address customer inquiries and concerns
- Ability to provide emergency services and on-call support
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in propane delivery, installation, or a related field
- Tanker endorsement
- HaZmat endorsement
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage time effectively
