Job Summary
CDL Roll Off Driver operates heavy-duty trucks with front/side/rear-end load lift attachments and transports containers to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, backing maneuvers, navigating high-traffic areas and tight spaces, loading/unloading containers, complying with WM safety, OSHA, and DOT requirements, communicating with Operations Manager/Dispatch, attending scheduled training, and completing end-of-day documentation. The role may involve residential or roll-off duties and requires safe operation of vehicles and adherence to route assignments.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- CDL-Class A with air-brake endorsement Upon Hire or CDL-Class B with air-brake endorsement Upon Hire
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- CDL Class A or Class B with an air-brake endorsement upon hire
