Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Must have at least a valid Class B CDL
• •Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire
• •Must be at least 19 years of age
• •No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
• •Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
• •Legally eligible to work in the United States
• •Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
• •Must be able to read and speak the English language
• •Must be able to lift 20 lbs
• •Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• •Must be able to lift 100 lbs
• •Must be able to work flexible hours
• •Must be able to work nights and weekends
• •Must be able to work overtime
• •Must be able to work weekends
• •Must be able to work holidays
• •Must be able to travel between offices
• •Must be able to work outside in changing temperatures
• •Must be able to work in wet/humid conditions
• •Must be able to work in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
• •Must be able to stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl
• •Must be able to climb and/or balance
• •Must be able to sit continuously
• •Must be able to stand/walk occasionally
• •Must be able to operate different trucks
• •Must have excellent driving/maneuvering skills
• •Must have general knowledge of truck mechanics
• •Must have good written and verbal communication skills
• •Must be able to read and understand a map and/or navigation system
• •Must be able to professionally interact with internal and external customers
• •Must be able to clean up waste spills and overflows
• •Must be able to maintain and update route sheets
• •Must be able to maintain cleanliness of truck cab
• •Must be able to conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete DVIR logs
• •Must be able to clean waste from the packer blade and truck body while following proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
• •Must be able to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings
• •Must be able to replace trash/recycling carts neatly at the curb or designated area
• •Must be able to operate trucks in a safe and compliant manner
• •Must be able to collect and haul waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant
• •Must be able to empty trash/recycling carts into truck
• •Must be able to perform other duties as assigned
