CDL Residential Driver

Job Summary
Operate a residential or recycling collection truck, including side-load and rear-load equipment, to collect solid waste and recyclables on curbside and backdoor routes. Load, compact, and transport materials to post-collection facilities while maintaining route quality standards and adhering to all federal, state, and local safety regulations. Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, route reports, and documentation; clean the vehicle interior and exterior; and manage assigned helpers if applicable. Identify and remove prohibited waste items, report mechanical issues or accidents immediately, and maintain accurate service records. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds, and follow all company policies and personal protective equipment requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must possess a Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum one (1) years of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate
- Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment
- Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively using proper lifting techniques
- Ability to regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, and smell
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
