Job Summary
Drive a rear load garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste in residential neighborhoods, construction sites, and other assigned areas. Operate lever hand controls for hydraulic machinery to collect and dump waste while conducting pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety. Perform manual labor including lifting and climbing in and out of the truck, handling objects up to 70 lbs. Read route sheets and service each customer on the route as assigned by the dispatcher. This full-time, year-round position features Monday to Friday hours with drivers typically home every evening. Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL License: Must have a Class A or B CDL with a current valid DOT medical certificate
- Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Able to climb in and out of the truck throughout the shift
- Ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the truck and its components
