CDL Rear Load Truck Driver - Subcontractor

Job Summary
Residential Rear Load Drivers are responsible for servicing customers with the collection and hauling of waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant. This position operates various types of trucks. Drivers will service many different routes in various areas. Responsibilities include providing trash or recycling removal services to customers in a safe and compliant way, entering/exiting the truck hundreds of times daily, handling containers, replacing receptacles at the curb, cleaning spills, maintaining route logs, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, interacting professionally with customers, and performing other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities needed include map reading, strong truck driving/maneuvering, general knowledge of truck mechanics, and effective written and verbal communication. Experience in the waste industry is a plus. Physical requirements emphasize lifting, pushing/pulling up to 75 lbs regularly, outdoor work in varying temperatures, and frequent movement. Required Qualifications
- Must have at least a valid Class B CDL
- Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
- Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to read and speak the English language
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
