Job Summary
Deliver bulk and non-bulk propane, equipment, and materials to customers in an assigned territory while maintaining DOT requirements and vehicle care. Safely operate a propane delivery truck, handle and unload tanks, and perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on propane systems. Install gas lines and conduct routine maintenance, safety inspections, and leak tests to ensure system integrity. Maintain accurate delivery and service records, interact with customers to explain operations, and provide emergency on-call support. Standard Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm schedule with occasional weekends, on-call shifts, and overtime during the October to March peak season.
Required Qualifications
- Class B CDL
- Proven experience in propane delivery, installation, or a related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Good manual dexterity and ability to use hand and power tools
- Must be able to safely operate a propane delivery truck in compliance with DOT regulations
- Must be able to deliver propane to customers as scheduled, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries
- Must be able to handle, load, and unload propane tanks and cylinders, ensuring secure and safe transportation
- Must be able to install propane tanks, gas lines, and related equipment at customer sites
- Must be able to conduct routine maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs on propane systems and equipment
- Must be able to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of propane systems, including tanks, regulators, meters, and appliances
- Must be able to conduct leak tests, pressure checks, and safety inspections to ensure system integrity and functionality
- Must be able to maintain accurate records of deliveries, installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Must be able to follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure safe handling of propane and prevent accidents
- Must be able to interact with customers to explain the operation and maintenance of propane systems
- Must be able to address customer inquiries and concerns, providing timely and effective solutions
- Must be able to provide emergency services and on-call support as needed
- Must be available for occasional weekends, on-call shifts, and overtime
- Must be available for extended hours typical during busy season of October to March
