CDL Passenger Driver/Low Voltage Field Technician

Job Summary
Transport the field crew between job sites and lodging on a set schedule, reporting one hour before and after shifts for vehicle staging. Maintain the shuttle in clean, safe operating condition and report maintenance issues promptly. Between driving shifts, actively learn structured cabling installation, termination, and testing for CAT5e, CAT6, fiber optic, and coaxial systems. Assist with building MDFs and IDFs, including racks, patch panels, and wire management under supervision. Support cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, and testing tasks in accordance with BICSI standards and local regulations. Maintain a positive, team-first attitude and represent LINX professionally at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement
- Prior experience driving a school bus, shuttle, van, or similar passenger vehicle
- Clean driving record
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable driving a passenger van/bus on a fixed schedule
- Willingness and ability to work on ladders, use power tools, and lift/carry/set up a 50-pound box or ladder as part of on-site training
- Must own basic low voltage tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches) or be willing to acquire them
- Flexible availability for staggered shift start times (as early as 5:00 AM) with an extra hour on each end of the shift for vehicle staging
- Must pass a 7-year background check, drug screen, and physical
- Requires proof of auto insurance
- Strong, positive attitude and reliability
Desired Qualifications
- Any prior construction, trade, or hands-on technical experience
- BICSI Technician or Installation Certification
- CPR and First Aid certified
- High School Diploma
