Job Summary
Yard Jockey / Shuttle Driver role in Dallas, TX requiring CDL with local shuttle duties including moving trailers in dock area, yard operations, and adherence to safety and DOT/FMCSA regulations. Responsibilities include safely maneuvering truck and trailer in busy environments, pre/post-trip inspections, submitting truck-condition reports, maintaining activity logs, using Yard Management System (Catalyst), and communicating effectively. Requires attention to detail, strong knowledge of industrial equipment, ability to read safety instructions, English proficiency, and a team-oriented mindset. Minimum 18 months over-the-road experience (12 months in last 3 years) with 48'–53' trailer backing, DOT compliance, and clear PSP/drug-testing history; able to pass background and medical/drug tests; home daily with overtime possible.
Required Qualifications
- CDL
- DOT compliance obligations (medical card, drug/alcohol testing)
- FMCSA drug testing rules of 49 CFR Part 40
- No felony convictions within past 7 years
- No drug related charges or past failed drug screens
- No SAP programs
- Minimum 18 months over-the-road experience with 12 months in past 3 years
- Experience backing 48' to 53' trailers (including in tight spaces)
- Pre/post trip inspections
- CTV: CMV on public roads
- Must pass pre-hire background and drug test
- Clearance: PSP below 90
- No gaps in 10-year employment history
- Must be able to operate CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle)
- Shuttle assignment acceptance
