Job Summary
Train CDL students in tractor-trailer operations and the SAGE curriculum, demonstrating curriculum subject matter to learners, assess student performance, and provide guidance on maneuvers on the skills driving range and on-road. Must meet FMCSA/DOT requirements including Part 391 standards and DOT drug/alcohol screening; expected to conduct instruction on shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours, with duties designed to help students prepare for interstate trucking responsibilities. Includes home nights and weekends, health benefits, 401K with company match, paid vacations/holidays, and a supportive working environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License
- Minimum two (2) years of practical trucking related experience demonstrating instructional competency
- Safe CDL A driving record as determined by the SAGE Safety Department
- Knowledge/Skill: Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of safe truck driving and laws/regulations for tractor-trailer interstate operations
- Ability to demonstrate SAGE curriculum subject matter to students
- Attitude aligned with professionalism, respect, motivation, maturity, and safety
