Job Summary
Apply herbicides to roadsides, rights-of-way, guardrails, utility poles, curbs, and concrete to control weeds, grass, brush, and invasive vegetation. Operate and maintain spray trucks, ATVs, backpack sprayers, hose systems, and other vegetation management equipment while performing daily inspections, calibration, and minor maintenance. Maintain required documentation including application records, labels, and Safety Data Sheets, and drive an attenuator truck when required. Identify common vegetation types to ensure effective treatment and communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and the public. Work safely in various outdoor weather conditions while following all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations. Must hold a Class B CDL with a clean driving history, lift 60 lbs, and pass DOT screenings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Class B CDL
- Valid driver's license with a minimum of 5 years of clean driving history
- Ability to travel for up to 2–3 weeks at a time
- Successfully pass a DOT drug screen, DOT physical, background check, previous employment verification, and motor vehicle record review
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (Core & Rights-of-Way Vegetation Management)
- Ability to obtain the license within six months of hire
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. or more
- Must comply with all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and Drug & Alcohol Policy
